Dragon One

from US$85.00

This was my first linocut - carved entirely by instinct, without sketch or plan. The dragon emerged in a single motion, pulled from the center of my flow. You can see it in the angles, the curves, the face. There’s rage in him. Precision too.

He is the predecessor to Kokoro - less refined, more feral. I was just beginning to learn under my art sensei, David Barthold, testing pressure, blade, and control for the first time. What came out was raw and unfiltered: a mirror of my internal storm.
